David Abingdon has taken four businesses from zero to multi-millions each in less that 12 months. Two of these operated in the UK and Australia as well as many other countries.

As a Business Consultant, he has helped thousands of companies around the world generate huge increases in their revenues. For one client, he made them a recurring £35 million from zero in just two and half years.

Born in Birmingham UK, he trained as a registered nurse then followed his family to live and work in Launceston, Tasmania in 1978 and then moved to Melbourne, Victoria. He became an Australian citizen in 1985.

There, he worked as a pharmaceutical rep for 3 years before taking a job as a product and sales manager in Papua New Guinea. On returning to Melbourne, he joined National Mutual as an agent, later to be promoted to Divisional Manager where he won several accolades for business growth.

He then worked with another large insurance company and designed several cutting-edge finance and insurance products. One of those, a self-funding superannuation product, was still being sold until recently.

He moved to the UK in 1992 and joint ventured with a health insurer to develop and lead a new sales arm which earned them over £35 million in recurring income in just two and a half years.

Leaving there in 1997, he launched the virtual insurance firm, Insurety PLC, a company which he took to £4.5 million in its first year.

Having sold that, David consulted with a variety of companies assisting them with marketing and business development. He then launched the Quantum Organization, which he also opened up in Australia a few months later and in several other countries. The company achieved a market value of £11.2 million in its first 9 months of operation.

David sold the company some 5 years later and launched a new business consulting firm, Alchemy Network. Again, David also launched the business in Australia and later in 14 other countries. 

Selling the business in 2014, David moved into commercial finance and over 3 months transformed a small business into a large business. Later, he also consulted with an insurance brokerage and developed new products and distribution as well as generating a multi-million windfall for them.  

Over the last 30 odd years David has trained and mentored literally thousands of entrepreneurs and business people in marketing, sales, business development, franchising, business consulting and deal making. Some have gone on to achieve huge success in their own right.

He has also continued to consult in the UK and Australia and has worked with a multitude of businesses across most industries.

David has written over 30 proprietary business, marketing and franchising manuals and two published books, including a college manual. He has also provided expert business opinion to TV, radio and other media around the world. He has also featured in many articles and the Channel 4 documentary 'How the other half live'.

Other than writing and business development, in his spare time David enjoys playing keyboards and guitar. He is also private pilot with a multi-engine and an instrument rating.
